The research projects below are of interest to the National Panhellenic Conference. The NPC Research Committee welcomes inquiries by researchers about these topics as well as other projects involving students who are members of NPC women’s fraternities.

What factors contribute to low/high membership recruitment numbers for college women?

• What are parents’ perceptions of sororities and fraternities?
• What are the differences between attrition/retention rates of sorority members and nonmembers?
• How do students’ personal and fraternal values influence choices and behaviors regarding alcohol?
• Does fraternity/sorority membership for undergraduates affect success later in life?
• Are alcohol education programs helpful, and do they make a difference in alcohol consumption among undergraduate sorority women?
•  What are the behavioral influences of college women and men? Do they influence each other? In what ways?
• Do active mentoring programs reduce adverse behaviors among members of Greek letter organizations?
