Proposal Procedures
The National Panhellenic Conference welcomes research that will enhance the understanding of issues facing college women and broaden the body of knowledge about this population.
Proposals from master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers wishing to study this population, specifically undergraduate members of NPC sororities/ fraternities, are invited to submit their projects to the NPC Research Committee.
Criteria and Requirements
1. Research proposal: researcher’s position with relation to research topic; purpose and goals of research; benefits to stakeholders
2. Methodology to be used, including limitations
3. Predicted benefits of research
4. Verification of internal review board or human subject review approval
5. Informed consent document (subjects able to withdraw) verification
6. Confidentiality statement
7. Instrument(s) to be used
8. Script (oral survey) if applicable
9. Compensation details, if offered
10. Research results assimilation
Timeline for approval
If all criteria are submitted with the original proposal, the timeline for review and response normally is no longer than three weeks.
