In honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Panhellenic Conference in 2002, the Foundation established the Centennial Endowment Fund. Grants from the Centennial Endowment ensure on-going support for all educational and leadership programs developed or endorsed by the Conference. Centennial donors to date include all 26 NPC member fraternities and/or their foundations, College and Alumnae Panhellenic Associations, sponsors, friends of the Conference, and many individuals. Programs to be supported include those addressing academic excellence, risk management, alcohol and drug use/misuse, and personal skills. Women of achievement in higher education are recognized and forums are provided for distinguished lecturers and conference/workshop presenters. As one donor expressed, "Giving to the Centennial Endowment provides me with an opportunity to touch lives through our NPC programming and hopefully influence decisions which may someday provide for the greater good."
Establishing an Endowment
The NPC Foundation welcomes restricted endowed funds established by individuals, member affiliations and other foundations, corporations, or other appropriate donors, as long as these funds support its charitable, leadership, and educational purposes. In accordance with the Gift Acceptance Policy of the Foundation, a minimum gift of $25,000 is required to endow a fund. At the request of a donor, the Foundation will accept an initial gift of one-fifth of the total intended sum and will allow a maximum of five years to complete the pledge. Permanently endowed funds will provide awards in perpetuity. Endowed funds are an excellent way to help the Foundation continue the Conference’s tradition of providing outstanding programming and resources for fraternity women across the continent. The Board of Trustees welcomes your request for additional information about establishing an endowment.
